Strengthen Body Function Through A Body Cleanse Detox
For many people, the idea of a body cleanse detox might sound intimidating or even all little off-putting. Think about it for a minute; the word “cleanse” itself might give the impression that all kinds of body waste is eliminated or sucked from the body in some way. The reality, though, is that a body cleanse can do the body good in returning to it an ideal level of health in a number of non-threatening ways.
Any real body cleanse will involve an actual detoxification, which is nothing more than doing things to help the body remove possibly harmful chemicals and other substances from the body. Many of these chemicals and toxins are thought to contribute to body fatigue, headaches and general poor health. There are several different varieties of detox regimens, too, with a simple version involving giving up certain foods and dairy products, along with caffeine.
Accepting the fact that cleansing involves detoxification, it’s also very smart to stop doing any drugs or taking in any alcohol or other potentially harmful products such as cigarettes. These products all contain a wide variety of chemicals and toxins that also need to be eliminated from the body before any meaningful detox regimen can be undertaken.
The most effective way to start a cleansing diet is to start out slowly with short-term fasting. This means no eating of red meat or really any meat in general. Also, it’s very helpful to give up sugar, caffeinated drinks (or any containing artificial flavoring), white flour and dairy food as mentioned above. During these fasts, the only things that should be eaten are raw uncooked vegetables, raw or organic juices, fruits, and water.
Remember as well that there are large amounts of preservatives and other chemicals in many foods, along with flavorings and food dyes. All of these substances usually leave low levels of toxin by-products in the body which aren’t thought to be initially harmful. Eliminating them, though, is sure to help the body begin to feel better, though the body might rebel during first-stage withdrawal from them.
Keep in mind that the most essential components of any cleanse diet are vegetables, fruits, water and whole grains. When it comes to water, which is life’s most essential element, humans require certain minimum daily amounts, though each person differs slightly in just how much is needed. What’s known, though, is that more of it will be required during cleansing. Try to drink purified or spring water, if possible.
When it comes to water, there really isn’t a hard and fast rule for how much should be drunk in order to stay well-hydrated. Normally, most people do well on at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day. Given that many foods also contain water in bulk within them, it might be possible to get away with four or five glasses. Water is vital to detoxification though, so take it in above all else.
A full body cleanse can do the body good in a myriad of ways. A balanced and healthy diet — which is part of any effective body cleanse detox — is essential to healthy living.
